Sampling and sending
General Guidelines

This useful guide is aimed to provide you with general information about :
Prior to analyses, may we remind you that sampling is of utmost importance, so please keep in mind that the product you send us should be well sampled and well packed. In the lab, sample reduction and preparation are performed in accordance with good laboratory practise in order to ensure the best quality results.
Sample size
In most cases, 250g is enough. We need larger samples for : GMO’s, COFRAC samples, Vitamins, Oxidation values... please contact customer service for more details.
Packing
In order to avoid leaks, broken flasks, or alteration, we recommend that glass is not used :
Dry products : pack and seal in an appropriate plastic bag (i.e. Minigrip) or plastic (polypropylene) container (unbreakable) with seal and lid.
Liquids : Place the individual sealed plastic bottles in separate plastic bags.
Fresh products i.e. meat, cheese, … Pack in sealed plastic bags. If possible deep freeze the samples and send them in a box containing ice or deep freeze packs.
Peroxide : please ensure that no air is trapped inside the flask before sealing it. Please call us if you need us to send you bags or flasks.
Sending samples
Please send us fresh or deep frozen samples at the beginning of the working week and do not send samples during weekends. Please complete an Order Form for each sample, and send it together with the samples.

Urgent enquiries should be stated, and will be invoiced at a special price. If you have a lot of samples to send, please be so kind as to give us a call first.

How and how long do we keep your samples
Stable samples are kept at room temperature and are destroyed after 5 weeks. Other samples are kept at 5°C at least 5 days after the report is issued. |

Monday to Wednesday : 8 to 12 am, 1:30 to 6 pm
Thursday : 8 to 12 am, 1:30 to 5:30 pm
Friday : 8 to 12 am, 1:30 to 5 pm
